Our Mission Statement

Christmas Friendship Dinner Inc. is a Christian-based organization which seeks to share Christ’s joy, hope and fellowship with community by sharing a meal every year on Christmas Day, for any and all in our community without discrimination and in a manner which gives dignity to all.

Who We Are

Christmas Friendship Dinner Inc. (CFD) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization that serves a Christmas Dinner available to the entire Matanuska-Susitna Valley in south central Alaska.

This incredible event is solely supported by community and corporate donations and by a growing family of tireless community volunteers.

There is never a charge for the meal and no donations are accepted at the event. Past events have served over 4,000 meals onsite plus 350 meals to our homebound neighbors.

We are all volunteers – people just like you – who want to do something to help our neighbors on a day that is joyous for some and difficult for others. We are over 500 strong and guided by the CFD Board of Directors.

Why We Do This

Jesus is the Reason for the Season! Christmas should be a time of joy in our community, but often, hunger, homelessness, depression, loss of a loved one, loneliness, or separation from family or friends can cause stress and heartache.

We strive to share a hot meal and friendship with our neighbors and to return the joy of the Christmas Season to their lives.
